Another update by his wife. She pretty much does daily updates which are also crossposted on PAD's site: http://www.peterdavid.net/2013/01/04/here-is-how-you-can-help-peter/ I can highly recommend The Camelot Papers, the best novel I've read last year.
Will buy them all now. Surprised there's a second Hidden Earth volume, first book was great, but I missed the announcement of the second somehow. Still, shaking my head about how terrible the american healthcare system is, pricewise.
Ugh, someone's tried to hack his website. Probably because there's supposed to be a donate button from today. Disgusting.
PAD's site now has a donate link up http://www.peterdavid.net/2013/01/16/how-you-can-help-peter-david-recover/
How can I not donate? The countless hours of enjoyment he has made available to me. Thanks for the link.
Just sent $20 his way. Absolutely adored New Frontier as a kid; must've read everything up through Stone & Anvil six times.
That's terrible to hear. He's by far my favourite Trek author. Q-Squared took me from a casual Star Trek follower to a fanatic. His New Frontier books are the only Trek novels I've bought since 2000. I hope he recovers as quickly and fully as someone can from such a devastating event.
I just heard about this on a post from George Takei on Facebook. I am so sorry to hear this and wish him a speedy recovery. Mike
Good news from PAD. He's allowed to come home early: http://www.peterdavid.net/2013/01/30/going-home-early/
Apparently he has made his first post-stroke con visit at the Farpoint convention this weekend. I don't think he is part of the con program, but damn, PAD is really a tough guy.
