Daft Punk (mainly the new TRON: Legacy score), Florence and The Machine, and lots of Gregorian Chants.
I think that there is a song for every situation, for every moment in life there is a song that could be played. I don't rely too much on the fact that smell helps me remember things, but on the other hand, songs brings back memories faster than anything else. Right now, I'm listening to nothing. Yet, I do have a few songs going through my head. I have "Freshman" by the Verve going through my head.
If there was ever such a thing as the right song for the right occasion... [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ8hSGmilCo[/yt] The search continues.
"April in Paris" by Wild Bill Davis, from Live at Birdland, featuring Chris Columbo on drums. Davis originated the "one more time" arrangement of the song that became a hit for Count Basie. And it's good to hear Chris playing again--I spent a lot of hours listening to him talk about his life back in the day.
Rosie, from Bye Bye Birdie, as performed by Brent Spiner. I'm dying of fangirling over hearing him sing.
