It doesn't appear to be the completed preview, since the voiceover is a wimpy temp guy instead of one of those "in a world" guys. But the content is probably the final product.

    Meh.

After seeing the trailer for season 7, I was considering giving 24 one more chance following the crapfest that was season 6, but I'm having serious doubts about it after seeing the Exile trailer.

This looks more like a Rambo movie starring Kiefer Sutherland. Weird.

Like the OP mentioned, the audio is most likely placeholders until they get real 24-style music and the "In a world where..." voiceover guy to do the final ones.

It's the plot I'm worried about--that looks absolutely horrendous.

Maybe it's because it's been a year and a half since I've watched any 24, but I am most definitely looking forward to seeing the film.

Maybe it's because I gave up watching 24 regularly after season 4, and totally after season 5, but that looks an improvement over what I was expecting.

Eh, I dunno. Some African thug-leader isn't my idea of a 24-caliber foe. Moving the action away from America might be a mistake.

I assume those are both stand-ins. The music was unintentionally comic, due to massive overuse. :D

This is an improvement over last season...I quite liked the clip. So this is airing before 24 returns in Jan?

Sometime in the fall, September or October, I think.

November. I want to say the 13th but I'm not sure that's right. It's definitely in November though.

I dunno. A bad guy with much more basic goals and desires could be just what 24 needs after all these Los Angeles-based terrorists with plans upon plans upon plans and moles within moles.

The narrator sounds like a bad Jeff Probst impersonator.

I didn't know Peter MacNicol was going to be in this. Interesting.

If only my speakers worked, but judging from the comments here, maybe that's not such a big deal. I'm (tepidly) looking forward to when this airs.

That trailer showed us nothing that hasn't been done before on the show. Instead of a conspiracy at CTU, there's a coup in Africa. Jack even yelled about doing something NOW. This formula is beyond tired. Oh, and I thought I saw season 6's Evil VP in there for a split second, but I could be wrong. Anyone else see him?

Powers Booth as VP (Now President) Daniels was indeed there. Which makes sense, since the prequel involves the handing over of power from his administration to the new one.

I've finally watched it with my speakers working, and I'm a little impressed. 24 does Tears of the Sun from the looks of it. Doesn't look like a re-tread to me at all, at least for 24. That doesn't help the season regular looking like (mostly) a re-tread of what we've seen before, but this looks interesting to me. And I haven't completly enjoyed a season of 24 (except for season five) since the season two finale.

A movie where Jack Bauer rescues a bunch of cute kids from an evil African warlord?

Yeah, might just skip this one.
