Rick Remender really hasn't written anything spectacular since his Dark Angel Arc on X-Force. He is one of these one trick ponies. However if you want truly terrible on both the art and writing front, I'd recommend his first issue of Captain America. It's the only book where he uses spousal abuse as a building character moment.

For those of you that have been hearing the buzz about Matt Fraction's Hawkeye and have been thinking of picking it up, this week's issue #7 is the issue to try.

Not because it's a fun issue, even though it is. Two stories, one focusing on Clint and the other on Kate, set during Hurricane Sandy and it's aftermath. Both stories of heroes performing heroics and people coming together in desperate times. A very good read.

No, the reason to buy this particular issue is that Matt Fraction is donating all of his bonuses and sales incentives from this issue to Hurricane Sandy relief. Well done, Matt! :)

With the decreased number of hours that I'm currently working, I really shouldn't risk taking a chance that I'll end up wanting to add to the number of titles that I'm reading... but I did indeed purchase Hawkeye #7 due to Fraction's decision to donate his royalties.

The critical love that the book has been getting certainly didn't hurt my decision to buy it, either. I haven't read it yet, but probably will tomorrow night after work.

As for Superior Spider-Man #2 - Slott and Stegman are just killing right now. This is damn good Spidey.

So, now that Marvel Now! is in full swing, what does your Marvel pull-list look like? Here is mine...

    Uncanny X-Men
    All-New X-Men
(It seems that one or the other of the above will always be double shipping, so they count as three.)
    Avengers (twice monthly)
    New Avengers
    Young Avengers
    Iron Man
    Fantastic Four
    FF
    Daredevil
    Hawkeye
    Indestructable Hulk
    Savage Wolverine
    Fearlless Defenders

That's at least fifteen regular pulls every month for me, depending on shipping schedules. That doesn't take into account minis or one-shots or events (Such as the upcoming 10-part "Age of Ultron" which I will be buying as well).

    In for the long haul:
    Thor: God of Thunder
    Superior Spider-Man
    Deadpool
    All-New X-Men
    Indestructible Hulk
    Hawkeye

Going to pick up the first issue and decide:
    Uncanny X-Men
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Secret Avengers

    Tried and dropped:
    Iron Man
    Captain America
    Avengers
    Uncanny Avengers
    Savage Wolverine

I've mostly been a DC guy for quite a while. I've only really started getting back in to Marvel through NOW. I guess their strategy is working.

i think its easier for me list what i'm not reading. not reading X-Men Legacy, Deadpool, Thunderbolts. all the other Marvel Now titles i'm going to stick with for at least six or seven more issues and decide.

After an initial binge of both Marvel and DC titles when I decided to get back into comics, I've since scaled back my reading list from both companies quite a bit.

    From Marvel:

    • Punisher: War Zone (one issue to go)
    • All-New X-Men
    • Uncanny X-Men (likely but not guaranteed)
    • Superior Spider-Man
    • Avenging Spider-Man (might not buy every single month)
    From DC's New 52:

    • Batman
    • either Nightwing or Batgirl (to be decided after "Death of the Family")
    • possibly get caught up on & then keep Earth 2

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Marvel books I'm reading and enjoying:

    -Avenging Spider-Man
    -Superior Spider-Man
    -Wolverine and the X-Men
    -Uncanny X-Force
    -Indestructible Hulk
    -Avengers
    -New Avengers
    -Daredevil
    -Deadpool
    -Thunderbolts
    -Thor: God of Thunder
    -Captain America
    -Captain Marvel
    -FF
    -Scarlet Spider
    -Ultimate Comics Spider-Man
    -Ultimate Comics Ultimates
    -Ultimate Comics X-Men

Upcoming Releases I'll be checking out but probably won't be following:

    -Uncanny X-Men (Oh dear)
    -Guardians of the Galaxy
    -Paul Cornell's Wolverine ongoing

Upcoming release I'll be giving a chance:

    -Fearless Defenders

Upcoming release I'm most looking forward to :

    -Brian Wood's female X-Men book

My Marvel pull list has increased almost 75 percent since DC's relaunch...and really this started even before the relaunch happened, but I'm reading at least triple of what I was a couple of years ago.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

    Started:
    All-New X-Men
    Avengers
    Indestructible Hulk
    Capt. Marvel
(Unless there is a drastic drop in quality I plan on sticking with all four of these)
    Capt. Marvel
    Planning on checking out:
    Young Avengers
    Daredevil
    Ucanny X-Men
    New Avengers
    Young Avengers
    Fantastic Four
    FF
    Thor: God of Thunder
    Uncanny X-Men
    Hawkeye
    Journey Into Mystery
    X-Men
    Fearless Defenders
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Deadpool
    Daredevil
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to read all of these regularly, but I want to at least check out 1 issue of each.

I have already kicked about half of Marvel to the curb because it is just horrific. Captain America, Uncanny Avengers, Thunderbolts, FF are all just unreadable. In the plus column Indestructible Hulk, All New X-men, and Superior Spiderman have all been quite good so far.

    ^Which one was that Admiral?

Found Superior Spiderman 2 to be quite entertaining. A good fun read with nice action and Peter was terrific.
