Fair enough. :) I wasn't aware of all the empty promises. I never watched Smallville on a weekly basis anyway. I always waited for the season to end and then bought the season sets. I'm impatient that way. ;)

Seems we're on hiatus again after the conclusion of the Guardian story line.

Guess I don't have to worry about picking up Issue 13 just yet.

Don't worry, it will be out on (beware spoilers at the follow link) the 17th.

That's not really a spoiler. We've been known and talking about the Batman issue for the last couple of months now :)

That'd be something. John Blake as Batman II, and Babs Gordon as Batgirl, having returned from Cleveland to Gotham at some point and who managed to seek out Batman and discover that he was Blake whom reluctantly agreed to take her on as his partner. :)

Seriously I wish they would fix the whole Jimmy Olsen switchero. That Henry really was his father. That he was older than he really was. He was known to have lied about his past. Maybe even more than we thought. In the both the comics and Lois & Clark Jimmy's dad was a goverment agent. Maybe he was sent into to discover Clark's secret but actually grew to like him.

Another epic fail by Brian and Kelly...I seriously wonder how Aaron felt about learning that little twist (Wait...what? I'm not Jimmy Olsen?) LOL. I have watched the great Jimmy Olsen interview/segment thing he hosts on the "Smallville" Season 8 DVD I think it is.

Finally after ten years...the Batman is finally introduced to "Smallville" and oh boy is he awesome!! Part one of "Detective" started today with a new artist as well. Everything was just fantastic about this issue. Lois looked more like Erica in this issue than she ever has in the book so far, as it starts in the Fortress of Solitude following up from events in "Guardian". We then shift to Gotham City and are introduced to Batman and Nightwing (Barbara Gordon) and it seems they're tracking Joe Chill. Barbara does not know who he is or why Bruce is so concerned about him. This is gonna be one hell of an arc.

Glad to hear there's a new artist. That's one thing that has disappointed me about this book.

Due to Internet problems at home, it may be several days before I can obtain #13. Looking forward to it though, as thus far, the series has not disappointed.

Also, eager to see if the new artist draws Chloe to look a bit more like Ally.

I enjoyed the Lois and Clark portion of the comic. I'll wait to judge on Batman and Nightwing until we see more on them. Is it just me, or is this Batman kind of a hardass?

Is Batman ever not a hardass?

Batman is less of a hard ass in this than he is in the Justice League of the 52'Verse IMO.

    About the same I'd say.

Lois definitely looks a lot more like ED though.

Yep. I agree...I was surprised how much the artist increased Erica's likeness. Tom's likeness is still lacking IMO. I didn't mind Pere Perez. I believe he worked with Miller during his "Batgirl" run.
