    Hello, all

This is something that I've been working on and off with for the last 5 years:

EDIT - Link removed to prevent copywrite issues.

I've basically taken the STTMP novel and put it into a screenplay format, using the version that's already available on the net.

    Please comment and enjoy! :)

    Wow, that's some dedication.

Is the book that different to the film?

I admire your dedication, but this is a breach of copyright. And if there is an online version of Roddenberry's novelization - apart from the Simon & Schuster eBook download, which fans pay for and agree not to alter - then that is also an infringement.

You're not supposed to reconfigure other people's novels into any form of retrieval device. How would people reading your "adaptation" send any royalties to the original author's estate?

Therin, I guess I never thought about this little project from that angle... It was never supposed to be any breach of copywrite, just a little experiment to see how well I could put together a screenplay from an existing source.

If it would please The powers that be, I will remove the link.

Besides, wasn't the novel you're basing you're screenplay on, already based on a screenplay?

Since Firebird has removed the link, there isn't much reason for this thread to stay open.
