    Hi all!

I'm new in this forum I have been watching ST since mid 80's. My favourite series are TOS and my favourite character is, of course, Spock :vulcan:

Hi! I'm Kelly, I'm an undergrad pursuing studies in Art History, Film, and Theatre, and I just found Star Trek less than a year ago. My roommie introduced me to The Big Bang Theory, and they just reference Star Trek so much I thought, gee, this is such a phenomenon, I should check it out! And there went my study time (in less than I year I have seen all of TOS, TNG, and Voyager... but hey it's not like you get outside much in the winter in Canada). AHAH I just love knowing, as proven in the existence and fanbase of Star Trek, that there are other people out there who dream of the same kind of world I do :)

Been a fan for a couple years, but his last month I decided to watch enterprise on Netflix and oh my lord! I finnished the series in like a month. Love it. unfotunaly I dont have any friends who are in to this show (its very lonely when you see a great episode and no one is there to talk abput it with you) so I figured I could talk about it online!

Okay, so I'm not that much of a newbie. I've been a member for a while, just not very active until lately. Life has a tendency to interfere with my hobbies. I'm an old fart and remember watching TOS in prime time. I was almost as thrilled by TMP as I was by the birth of my first child. Almost. I was militantly against TNG when it premiered (French captain? Cute kid on the bridge? An Android? NO CONFLICT!?! Oh, come on and get real please!) I've mellowed and actually am quit the Next Gen fan. (Might just be senility) I think DS9 is one of the best television shows ever, though still not quite as high on my list as TOS. I honestly can't stomach Voyager and haven't watched more than a couple of dozen episodes. Enterprise left me cold, though I'm starting to warm to it a bit.

Primarily, I'm a gamer. I LOVE FASA Star Trek. Really.

And I actually enjoyed the new film. (Senility again)

Anyway, it is great to find the company of like minded people!

We belong to STARFLEET International. They have both meeting and correspondance chapters. The chapters can be pretty varied as each chapter determines what activities they do for fun. www.sfi.org

My first Star Trek episode was The Doomsday Device when I was in elementary school. I've been a fan ever since. My favorite series is TOS, but I've recently discovered Voyager. I didn't make it past the 3rd episode of TNG with the British/French captain and a brat on the bridge. (However, I like the TNG movies.)

I went to my first convention shortly after The Motion Picture; however, I was freaked out by all the weird people there. I had always considered myself a trekker but I did not relate to the con crowd at all. Years later I attended another con and the crowd seemed much better. I even joined a Star Trek fan club, STARFLEET International. I now have a family membership with my wife and daughter.

I used to play Star Trek The Tactical Simulator (FASA). I also use to play the Star Trek Card Collectable Game and still have an extensive collection. I've been playing Star Trek Online for almost a year. I'm just a casual player so it took me a long time to get my character to Vice Admiral. There are moments when I really get caught up into the game, like during missions involving the Guardian of Forever or the Doomsday Device.

On the forum, you'll mainly find me hanging out in the STO discussion area but I'll visit the other areas from time to time.
