From the looks of it, they reverse a lot of shots on TNG, and, as a result, Data and Wesley appear to sit in the wrong consoles, and the comm badges appear to be on the wrong sides of all the crew members. I wonder why that is. Actually, I'm guessing that they reverse all the shots they are not going to use in the actual editing of an episode.
The uploader flipped the footage in the hopes that it won't get pulled from YouTube. (It defeats the auto-detect for copyrighted material apparently.)
Ah, thanks for that bit of info. Maybe I am OCD after all, because I was wracking my brain trying to figure this out!
Have the infamous "It wasn't him, it never was, it was his assistant" out-takes ever seen the light of day? I've heard so much mention of the trouble Frakes had with that scene. I'd really like to see the actual footage.
Pretty sure that's either in the documentary or the gag reel (at least one take) on the season 1 Blu-ray set.
I just watched the 8-minute reel from the S1 bluray; didn't see it there. It's probably not worth anyone's while to release the entire thing (and it might be perceived as mean to Frakes), I was just wondering if anyone had.
From Where No Man Has Gone Before. Frakes apparently had extreme difficulty delivering the line and everyone took turns getting the giggles over it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUxXrgKrsJQ#t=1m20s
