I finally saw the remake last night on Starz, and boy was that a rough time. I definitely prefer the original by a large margin. Got the battle damaged Hot Wheels U.S.S. Enterprise from my local Kroger this morning. I've found exactly two of them (one each) since they were released several months ago.
Bought this cheap china tablet to play around with. They sent me one with twice the ram and twice the storage.
I finally relented - extra features or not - and ordered STiD from Amazon.com. It is only 8 bucks today and I just could not pass up that price.
Canon 60D DSLR for really cheap due to communications error with lens. Have the $25 part on the way to fix it. Going to end up with a nice expensive camera for not much money. YAY! Canon SX10IS with broken lens for almost next to nothing off of Kijiji (in Canada). Have a new OEM lens with CCD on the way to fix it too. Going to give this one to a friend who has an interest in photography but not quite sure if it is her thing or not. Canon SX40 HS new in box. Got a really good deal on it as it was an open box and the store is going out of business. One of those too good to be true deals and just couldn't pass it up. All this within the past week and a half. Now, I just have to scrape up some money for Christmas gifts!
I think I'm done with my christmas shopping. My mom is hopeless with her laptop she got 3 years ago, and whines that she wants an ipad. I did not get her an ipad, she barely uses the internet, only looks at stuff and it costs too much. Got her an Android tablet, hopefully this will work well enough for her purposes (looking at stuff; she doesn't use IM, doesn't write email, etc). The reviews looked good, hopefully I won't regret that or have any problems. ^_^
That's okay. At first glance I didn't see the little i, and my first thought was, "I know he didn't order a sexually transmitted disease from Amazon!"
^Huh. I think you just discovered the one thing you can't actually buy from Amazon. Picked up some bubble kits for the nieces, some lovely gift bags, some Christmas crackers--or "poppers," as hubby calls them--and two peacock Christmas ornaments from World Market. Oh, and they gave me a free Downton Abbey tote bag. Because, you know, I needed one.
Let's see.... Three copies of The Big Bang Theory Season 6 on DVD One copy of The Big Bang Theory Season 6 on Bluray One copy each of The Big Bang Theory Seasons 3, 4, and 5 on DVD A new queen sized blanket to replace the full sized electric blanket that was too small for the bed and finally quit working at the end of spring. A Harkin's Theaters 2014 Loyalty t-shirt for my girlfriend's son. Now my Christmas shopping is about 75% done.
A case of St. Vitus.* A case of Mümmelmann. Some cases of Giraf Gold beer. Loads of "Trader Joe's" nuts. - and a lot more that's cheaper to buy in Germany than here. __________ *) Photograph depicts a carton, a case holds twenty cartons.
