Marvel clearly has some kind of over arc going on right now throughout their books. Time being broken is one aspect that we haven't really seen play out yet, except I guess in "All Meh" since the Originals can't go back to their rightful time. We know people can come back to the present and I guess can go to the future. Infinity and Inhumanity being linked together is part of it as well. We're seeing stuff in their infancy, but they're building towards something, we just don't really know what yet. I suspect whatever their 2015 event is going to be will be a big payoff for what they've been doing.

Marvel has been making 5 year plans since almost the beginning of this century at big fancy retreats, and course correcting, as well as extending on a yearly basis.

I mean larger story as in the ongoing history of a shared universe.

    Yep excited for that.

Read Punisher #2 and we get the full explanation of why Frank is in Los Angeles, he's been tracking down a dangerous and apparently powerful drug cartel that has a wide sweeping operation that threatened New York to LA. He's been in Los Angeles for several months already and has realized that someone else is putting them down. I don't think he has any idea that the Howling Commandos (or at least people calling themselves the Howling Commandos) are tracking him down. He's already developed a couple of friendship already. I have really enjoyed this book already. It has a lot of potential, and love the gritty art work. Plus the final page was awesome!

Rocket and Groot are a visual gag. I don't know how exciting it is to read a novel where the characters only say "I AM GROOT!" and "BAM! I KILLED YOU!" :p

Rocket's new catch-phrase is a Bendis invention, so there's no reason to assume that Abnett, Rocket's previous writer, will use it.

I should have guessed lol. I haven't read the old series since it came out.

Trial of Jean Grey is a good story but it's incredibly spaced out as usual. I'm also thinking back to all the episodes where Gladiator worked alongside living adult Jean Grey with no problem. Or the fact that the Dark Phoenix wasn't even physically Jean but a copy of her...

Uncanny Avengers is kicking ass as usual. I love how bad ass Thor is in it.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

2 possibilities if Young Jean is more efficacious to try than old Jean...

    1. Gladiator is trying to change the past.

    2. Gladiator is trying to keep the past the same as it used to be.

    Take note.

Old Scott died when Young Scott died, therefore killing Jean will resurrect D'Bari, even though it will frack up ten thousand other things.

    Tapestry, yo!

    (edit)

    Just finished Thunderbolts.

The Leader to Mephisto: "Sure you may, MAY be more evil than me, but I'm smarter."

^ issue #1 was pretty great. i loved how he managed to make sense of and sweep the Bendis run under the rug.

I picked up the first two issues of Charles Soule's She-Hulk today. This is my first exposure to Soule's work, and I think you can count me as a fan.

i like him quite a bit. he's did really well with Swamp Thing and Superman/WW has been a lot of fun as well. he also took over Thunderbolts and while i haven't been reading it a good buddy of mine said its much better with him writing.

When is New Warriors set compared to Uncanny Avengers?

They are both dealing with a Celestial incursion.

    Stoopid uncommunicative bullpen.

For anyone who may be curious, Marvel is currently offering a one-month subscription to its Marvel Unlimited service for only 99 cents.

You do have to sign up for a recurring monthly subscription to use the promo code, but you could easily cancel the subscription just before it expires and change to an annual one if you decide to stay with it ($69 for a year versus $10 per month).
