They lost me at "Tim Burton." Also, trailer people: Showing us an actor's name and then showing us a series of animated characters that all pretty much look the same without giving us a sample of that actor's voice? Not helpful.
lol, Tim Burton is part of why this looks spectacular. Amazingly well done trailer. Most people know who those people are so not much need to show voices. The characters looked quite a bit different. I think this is right there with Trek XI as one of the movies I'm most excited to see this year.
I hadn't heard anything about this film yet, but my interest is certainly piqued from this trailer. I'm really a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic.
Awesome! nice to see an American animated film that's not a funny animal comedy... the bag people look like a race of Oogie Boogies (from Nightmare Before Christmas)
Hate to be a downer. Hope you all enjoy it. It looks really really bad to me. I'll probably end up seeing it anyway at some point. But I'm unmoved by the trailer, that's for sure.
Danny Elfman is scoring it, which should provide one of his most interesting scores if he gets it right.
Yup! It'll sound just like Batman! Or the Flash theme. Or Spider-Man. Wait, which one is which again?
I saw the short animated film this version is based on, and it was amazing. Shane Acker, who wrote, directed, and produced the short, is also the writer, director, and producer of this full-length movie version. Tim Burton is only serving as executive producer. It's Shane's vision, not Tim's. I'll be there to see it, no question.
