Meh, most of those are old chestnuts, or in the case of CumberKhan well on its way to becoming one. Although on the matter of phasers not being around in the 22nd century, I think that's why they used the sloppy term "phase pistols," as a means of pretending they weren't phasers.

Or at the very least the engine room is much larger than what we usually see, which could help out with Trek XI's humungous engine room.

    GILLIAN:
Don't tell me they don't use money in the twenty-third century?

    KIRK:
Twentieth century US banknotes that they'll accept in this pizza parlor?
Yeah honey, that's what we use in the twenty-third century.

    :)

I laughed SO HARD at the Klingon tear.. and the phasers!

And for some reason the mysteriously swiveled console also cracked me up.

TONS OF FUN KingDaniel, thank you!

I always took the lack of Klingon tear ducts line to be Spock misunderstanding Klingon anatomy. Say, that Klingon tear glands open directly to the eyes, instead of wending their way through an elaborate tube first.

Admittedly, I never noticed Kurn's tear before. But what does get to me is Data crying when he finds Spot at the end of Generations even though it was stated earlier in TNG that he doesn't have tear ducts. But I guess the emotion chip solved that problem?

Thanks for another awesome episode, KingDaniel!

p.s.- He's not crying... He's allergic to Lavender ["Trials and Tribble-ations" reference]. :rommie:

Half of these don't really matter and the other half are just editing fail.

Trek and NuTrek aren't really the same franchise so inconsistencies there don't matter.

Yeah. Nitpicking between NuTrek and Trek brings with it the nonsense of complaining that in NuTrek they tuck in their pantlegs, while in Trek the legs are bloused, and capri length. Just go with it, I say.

Worf also told part of the story of Kahless:

Regarding the 22nd phasers, as stated above, at least they made they effort to call them "Phase Pistols" even though they were essentially phasers in practice.

One thing that irritated me about the Phase Pistol clip in the video is the whole "two settings" thing. I always thought that "Stun" and "Kill" were just colloquialisms that Starfleet used and there were a range of settings. Lower settings were just refereed to as "Stun" and so forth.

I mean surely a setting that could stun a 250 pound Klingon would do more than just stun a 90 pound Ferengi.

Oh, I've always gone with the fact that the TOS Enterprise had more than one Engineering Room, as depicted on Franz Joseph's blueprints

    (Duck? Hell, I'm running away!)

Also, the Beverly Crusher command track segment is not (necessarily) a continuity error. People change, interests change, career paths change, etc... What she said in Season 1 should not rule the rest of her life.
