This just makes me feel old, and proud at the same time. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57619940-1/13-year-old-builds-working-nuclear-fusion-reactor/
Of course, the muppets on BBC TV news announced that he had split the atom and created a fission reactor. It's most likely some sort of fusor. Anyway, pretty impressive for his agel.
<HIjol frantically checking future lineage records for "Jamie Edwards"> "...Cochrane...Cochrane...Zephram...no...damn!!!..."
I created a nuclear reactor when I was 7, made it out of cereal boxes and toilet roll tubes and some felt tips. Worked perfectly.
I think that's a hoax. Fusion, whether hot or cold results in a hell of radiation. As you can't install lead walls several feet thick in a classroom, it's in my opinion unbelievable that such an event ever took place.
