Here is basically everything "Art-y" I've done that isn't rubbish (and survived various computer issues) http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/ExcelsiorReplacement15.jpg Swooshy little sketch for a 2380-2340ish starship http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/CargoShuttle.jpg Cargo shuttle http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/EndeavourWIP5.jpg Quick and dirty sketch for the hero ship of an RPG I'm part of. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/USSEldridge3.jpg Kitbash for the sake of a kitbash. Probably a long-term patrol ship or destroyer. That, or another disappeared ship . About 2280ish. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/Icarus.jpg Early 25th century design sketch. Uses some elements from the fake Dauntless. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/SumeriaClass21.jpg Lost-era ship design. An explorer design dropped in favour of the Ambassador. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/NRClass.jpg Juxtaposition of the Conestoga and a warp ring, with seperate bussard pod. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/BravoClass.jpg 24th Century freight ship, like that FJ design I always forget the name of. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/Spaceship-1.5.jpg Retro-spaceplane, and http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/Spaceship_AltLivery3.jpg -alternate livery http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/D-3.jpg My try at an early Klingon warship http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/NautilusClass.jpg 'nother Starfleet sketch http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/AndurilRunabout_25.jpg Anduril Class Runabout, one of my favorites. Quite good for my second attempt to build something. Unfortunatley, it went to the place where deleted data goes when the hard drive got toasted on my old lappy. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/Corridor.jpg Came up with a set idea for a fan film project, which oddly evaporated quite some time ago.
nifty stuff. makes me less self conscious. some of these people are like- OMG blender and etc like seriously 3d realistic and all- makes me feel a bit wary about sharing if ya know what i mean. Theres a few of those i'd model in autocad if you gave me more info for? still have sketchup on your desktop? you can get it again. Autocad files are harder to share, but i can import autocad to sketchup. Wheres a file sharing site that will handle it? anyways...
Nice stuff! I especially like your starliner (EDIT: sorry, meant the Retro-spaceplane). Very BSG-ish in it's design and would fit well in either 'Verse, IMNSHO.
^ Thanks, the Errant Venture took forever to do. I wish it hadn't gone to the cyberspace grave. ^^The spaceplane was mostly Gerry Anderson inspired, but I did give some Viper Stripes to the alternate paint scheme ^^^Yeah, there's one or two of these designs I might be able to do multiple views of. I'm terrible at that sort of thing, but some stuff is fairly simple.
I had the same thought... that spaceplane would make a VERY nice ship in the tradition of BSG's Rising Star... perhaps a bigger class sibling.
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/USSEldridge3.jpg I like this one. Front view available? Bridge sketches or deck plans? An MSD?
^ Why yes, I do have a bridge sketch. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/EldridgeBridge.jpg It's set up a bit like the Hathaway, except less haphazard and random, I figure since the Eldridge shares some stuff with the Constellation, the standard bridge design would be similar. And yes, it's meant to be a tad cramped.
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa155/Wesson_album/Eldridge_Bridge.jpg Relabeled the consoles to make it mo' workable.
Idea for ships for an unnamed Star Trek race. ...And yes, I know the Destroyer hull type looks a bit too much like a certain ship. I aim to rectify that.
Nice concepts, and I really like the color scheme. But I'd change the nacelles on the two larger ships to something a little more unique. Those parts look much too Starfleet right now.
Took the Federation red out of the bussards and added some weapons emplacements. Boy, these guys sure like missiles, don't they?
Why not an isolated group of Humans from the Khan / post-Nuclear Horror era (DY-100's, etc.) right before "Ent" who were abducted by the Skagarans or whomever was responsible for the 37's? They took their abductors' technology after the revolutionaries destroyed most of it, rebuilt some of it & eventually headed out into the void to see what else was out there & see if they could ever get home to Earth & see if Earth itself had been conquered by whomever grabbed *them* & planned to re-take Earth from the alien invaders. Not realizing that several hundred years had passed & their abductions were isolated incidents that no-one knew about...
The Anhur-Class Patrol Ship was introduced in 2370 as part of the ongoing effort to modernize the fleet in the face of threats such as the Borg. The Anhur is a small vessel, with 6 habitable decks in total and an average crew of 40. The Anhur-Class is designed for long hauls, and as such, her engines are not as impressive as the Galaxy or Intrepid-class ships. Quarters are more spacious than other ships of her size, and recreational facilities are emphasized to compensate for long boring months of repetitious patrol duty. Armament is fair, consisting of 6 Type-IX Phaser Arrays and 1 torpedo tube. Commanding officers of Anhur-class vessels are allowed the option of decorating their ships with non-standard paint schemes. Pictured here is the USS Lightning.
