According to Hugh Laurie it is... I thought it did quite well on Five, it seems it's usually in high in their top 10 shows of the week, and gets 2-3m viewers regularly. Seems a bit odd that it would be considered a flop.
There would be some people saying, "He's not a doctor, he's the Prince Regent, with Blackadder as his butler! He's an imbecile!" Mind you, that just tells me he's a bloody good actor.
Well there are still some people who still have trouble getting 5 also some fans might not want to wait for 5 to show house so they D/L the eps.
^Ever since Monty Python it's been a rite of passage for male, university educated British comedy actors to dress up as women at some point early in their careers.
Absobloodylutely! And much fun they have given us. I've liked Laurie in just about everything he's done - he's a great comedian and actor.
Actually long before that, hence pantomime traditions and various other comic acts. Oh love for your Baltar sig....
I'm writing an audio sitcom with a friend at the moment (to be podcasted) and it occurred to me last night that the entire cast is male, even though we have a few female chars. Now I'm convinced we're destined for the big thyme.
