I was reading an autobiography by Claudia Christian and in it she mentioned how during the making of B5 series she went on a date with J. Michael Straczynski (with roses and big limo that everyone can see) but wasn't he married at the time? On his wiki page it's stated Spouse: "Kathryn M. Drennan (1983-2008; divorced)" I mean JMS has real balls of steel to go on a date with other woman while married.
Who cares? Other people's personal lives are their business. I will however point out that being married doesn't mean you can't be single. Divorce is an expensive and stressful process, even when both sides agree and I've known several couples to not bother with the formality for years after a break-up.
And it is one person's account of the events. I seem to remember hearing somewhere that truth is a three-edged sword, your side, their side, and in the middle, the truth. I think it was from Farscape or Firefly or something.
Yeah well.. usually that doesn't involve roses and big limos Anyhow.. who cares. It's their business and he wouldn't have been the first man who openly disrespects his wife.
Was that was the most salacious thing you brought away from that book?!? I really did read an early version, I guess. JMS is a pretty private person. Most people didn't know he was divorced for some time before he started referring to being single publicly and finally announced it online. He & Kathryn were separated at the time of the dinner with Claudia. Jan
Wow - the OP obviously doesn't know much about CC! The most shocking thing here was that she was on a date with a MAN!
(hoping this isn't inappropriate - it seemed that it might be of interest) By the way, the autobiography mentioned in the first post was mainly about Claudia's struggle with alcoholism. This announcement just came out about the Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for post-production on a documentary she's made about Naltrexone, a prescription medicine that's shown great success in the treatment of alcoholism and addiction. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/one-little-pill Jan
Also he couldda lost a 'Ohh, ya? I bet you dinner, such & such will/won't happen', and was simply paying off...
That's sad. I knew she had an alcohol problem -- I witnessed her drunken meltdown at Shore Leave several years ago where she had to be escorted out of the con Masquerade -- but I didn't know it was that serious.
In my experience, very few "alcohol problems" are anything other than serious. Or any substance addiction for that matter.
