LOL, is that the standard of evidence these days? If so, there is no evidence yet that there are no flying unicorns in the film either.

Well, you were the one who said it wasn't going to be in the film. How do you know that?

For the record, I don't believe I ever said it would be in the film, either.

Here's a short new viral video for Prometheus concerning Weyland Industries and androids:

The new Ripley? She spends the second half of the movie a total wreck!

I've tried Apple.com but it doesn't work either.

That's just another embedded YouTube video.

And this is different from Ripley (in "Alien")... How?

You saw the movie? What site did you bootleg it from?

Oh, and does anybody else think she looks exactly like Kathleen Quinlan?

You mean Kathleen I-spent-part-of-my-teenage-years-thinking-she-was-the-hottest-thing-since-sliced-bread Quinlan? Yep.

    [re: xenomorphs being in "prometheus]

How? I take Scott and Lindelof (the writer) at their word:

Thanks for the direct reply, but nothing in the article you linked, including the passage you quoted and the parts you highlighted, answers the question, or provides any evidence one way or the other.

However, thanks for linking to the article, which did say...

And for anyone who has seen the original "Alien," it just happens to be the planet where Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) first encountered those pesky chestbursters that haunted her across the big screen for decades.

Not my favourite, but Soylent Green is a bit of nostalgia for me and I've seen it more than once. Definitely on the rental list now, thanks.

Hopefully this will be the last of my derailment: they're making another Lethal Weapon movie? Damn Gibson must be desperate.

I haven't read the magazine, but from the looks of it that's just a reunion interview featuring Gibson and Glover. I haven't heard anything about Lethal Weapon 5 in quite some time.

Besides, the version they made on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is definitive. :guffaw:

No, unfortunately. I think all streaming, and not just YouTube, is disabled. Oh, well. I'll just have to wait until we get back to port.

It's for the better to just ignore the AvP movies, but a subtle hint at Bishop would be nice nonetheless, even if it's just a quick demonstration of a synthetic crewmember's reaction speed.

I just hope the film has a solid ending. I do love the idea of keeping the door open for a sequel, but assuming they'll get one and not resolving everything could be a mistake. Although Ridley Scott does get the benefit of the doubt for the time being.
