Yeah, once again the in-show car commercial was obnoxiously blatant. Other shows are able to work them in somewhat more subtly, even make them legitimate parts of the story (White Collar is good at incorporating the "look at this SUV's special features" bits into the plot), but this show's approach is just clunky, jarring, and intrusive.

I've seen episodes of two other shows in the past week that managed to incorporate blatant and extensive product placement into the stories in a way that didn't feel forced, but just felt like something happening in the real world with real products/services instead of made-up substitutes. CSI:NY did an episode set at a gaming convention where Gears of War 3 was a plot point (and Halo from the same company was referenced, though I think there was one ersatz game as well). And Fairly Legal had a subplot about the main characters' friends trying to talk her into joining Facebook (I assume there was some promotional consideration there). In both cases it felt like a natural part of the world, and the portrayal of the products wasn't so completely glowing that it felt like a promo (the video game was a motive in the murder, and Kate was highly skeptical of Facebook and didn't change her mind about not joining -- though maybe this will be a recurring sponsored plot thread like that awful thing Eureka did with deodorant a couple of years ago).

Seriously? This is what this formerly intelligent yet quirky show has descended to? Yeccch. So glad we stopped watching.

^^^ It was the approval from ICE for House's "wife" to become a citizen. This means she will be able to leave him, which was initially the plan that both she and House tacitly agreed to. The relationship seems to have taken on an odd dynamic and House now doesn't want her to leave, hence his throwing the letter in the trash, and Wilson's statement of him keeping her a prisoner in the preview scenes for next week.

Seems like House forgot about the speech he gave Chase a few months back about Oxytocin flooding the brain.

I thought it's very unHouse to actually dump the letter like that.

House has done stuff like it before -see the second season where he decides he wants Wilson to continuing living with him so he deletes messages from the landlord of an apartment Wilson was looking to rent.

I wasn't fond of tonight's episode. I didn't see the point in the Park-Chase sex dream storyline and the case of the week wasn't that interesting to me. But the end of the episode when Wilson tells House he has cancer has me glued to my seat and eagerly waiting for next week's episode which I can tell is going to be a heartbreaker.

I think the point of the case of week is to leave it up to us, the audience, to decide whether the cause of the boy's condition was sickness or the supernatural.

House is set (mostly) in the real world. There should be no "actual" supernatural in the show.

I was going to come in here and ask if the levitation was explained. It was weird.

I'm not really interested in the "it's up to the audience to decide". House should have smashed that one and he did explain it a bit.

Interesting ending that will lead to the final episode.

    "Are you coming?" was funny.

He should have dropped to his knees and begged Dominique to stay.
