I'd love to get it...but I simply don't have the money.

I probably won't either. I'd wager 100% of the pictures will be online somewhere exactly 60 seconds after the book's release.

I had a no idea. Is this a behind the scenes book or an encyclopedia?

The article I originally posted describes the book. It's a behind the scenes visual guide/companion.

I saw it and it's truly gorgeous. Big and beautiful. I didn't pick mine up because I really didn't want to lug a 5-pound book around the con with me. But I did look through the sample copy they had and loved it. Lots of fans were doing something really smart - getting their autographs on the slipcase. That's gonna look *great* on their coffee tables!

I don't know if they'll be available for purchase or not, but at the B5 Bingo/Stump the Editor panel, there were a few framed prints of some of the pages as prizes. My fave was of John and Delenn embracing for the last time. I didn't win at Bingo and wasn't allowed to play Stump the Editor ;) but that would have been my chosen prize.

There's been a lot of excitement about the Babylon 5 at 20 book that was announced last month. Due to the number of people interested in pre-ordering, that's been opened up earlier than planned: http://www.cafepress.com/_b5books Books will ship by June 30.

I'm still on the fence--Babylon 5 has always been about the writing to me and I love the show in spite of its visuals... At the same time, it would make a nice companion piece to all the script books.

    Decisions, decisions.

I'm sure there are valid economic reasons for its price, but this is yet another B5 book I can't bring myself to spend that much money for.

I completely understand that. There have been several books which I could not "pull the trigger" on. This one feels different, somehow.

^ Agreed. I feel like this is a must buy for me, despite the price tag.

I don't disagree, but I just don't have sixty plus quid lying around. Being poor sucks. :(

Regarding pre-ordering the B520 book: There's been concern from some folks who don't have (or don't want) PayPal accounts. It's not terribly obvious, but you *can* pay by credit card even without an account. See this from Captain Jaclyn:
