Well, Allison Mack being a punk and not wanting to do one more freaking season on the show that made her known has a lot to do with it. At the same time, they probably want to focus more on the "real" mythos to get us to Superman without aftermaket characters dragging them down.

All love in the world to Chloe and AM but, really, she should've just done one more damn season and Chloe isn't a "real" character in the Superman mythos and we need to get this shit done. So, really, her being gone will probably let that happen.

    Somewhat.

This guy wouldn't be more stereotypically evil if he looked like Darth Maul.

I don't know. I realize I'm biased in AM's favor, but I really do feel that they (meaning the PSW) made a mistake by not trying to convince Ally to come back for the full season. The show really is lacking from her absence.

The stationary "Daily Planet" wording on the screen-saver is going to really suck at its own job. Not that screen savers are necessary.

"You share a lot of bylines."
    "That's not all we share."

General Halftrack there seems to have an odd idea of what "freedom" and "this country" is.

So they're going to lock up Oliver Queen, a well-known billionaire. How the hell are they going to hide that?

I'm getting really tired of this evil government, war-on-terror storyline. Seriously, every government agency and military figure is FUCKING INSANE on this show!

I hope you're right about that, I mean about getting us to Superman. I'm still not positive that's going to happen; tell me how the Children of the Corn ep put us any closer to him being Supes? I don't think an aftermarket character is holding this show back; it's Welling and the Wonder Dorks.

Well, holding this show back is really the lame-duck writing. It's been better since Miller and Gough left but it's still a bit lame with more filler in it than an Oscar Mayer hotdog. So, yeah, they're not really using the "freedom" they have as they should. I'd liken it to The X-Files were a scant few of the episodes (overall) dealt with the "mythos" (and they still didn't even really finish it up) and many of the episodes were FOTW bullshit.

Metropolis General! We haven't seen it in about four episodes!

Shit, I just realized Tigh and Gaeta are on the same show.

So the government plans to publicly announce the signing of superheroes and then lock them up? How is that going to fly?

Better than Clark. Using fear is the best tool the government, and the military, has to get people to fall into a belief. See: Ground Zero Mosque.

So "strong, agile, rich, douchebag vigilante" applies to this superhero-act, thing?

"Wow, Mr Queen! You run about as well as a fit 30-year-old man! AMAZING!"

It would have been awesome if Tigh and Oliver walked into that room and the Old Man himself, Admiral Adama, was there with The Stare.
