Rage seems like a graphically pretty, solid FPS so I'm putting it on my christmas wish list. I here it isn't an rpg nor an open world, correct?
Correct. You pretty much have to do what you are tasked with. There are some side missions but, that doesn't make it open world. I might add though, it has more driving than the average FPS. At least, that is how it seems to me.
Oh lord, I'm knee deep in Gears of War 3 and love it! Also playing Assassin's Creed II/Brotherhood as well, but those are taking a backseat as I'm pretty focused on GoW3 at the moment.
I just bought RAGE! Will start playing it tomorrow. I hear it has the best graphics on the 360! And: it has a difficulty setting; yay!
I finished an Easy play through and now I'm halfway through the Hard setting. The difficulty hasn't scaled up as much as I expected. I'm thinking that the Nightmare difficulty is going to be more along the lines of a cakewalk Insanity ME2 playthrough instead of the kind of grind that Legendary Halo 3 was.
Just finished up ME2 tonight. Going to have another go at it for my weeks vacation from school. Also gotta get back to my C&C games I bought off Steam. Keep staring at the icons, and never have time to play em.
ah yes me2... i was able to save everyone at the end. but more recently i've been playing resistance 3
Played the first 90 minutes of RAGE. I like it! The graphics are absolutely gorgeous and the combat is pretty good. I'm playing on the easy setting and these guys take a ton of bullets to go down. Plus they fall down and you think they're dead, but they're just wounded and get up. It is a little difficult to draw a bead on the bad guys from the background since it all looks so gritty and real; I would have appreciated the reticule turning red when you're over a target.
I played a lot of RAGE today! The machine gun is awesome. So, I'm currently going through the Dead City for the defibrilator. How far through the game am I at this point? And was there some secret to killing the giant when you first enter the Dead City? I hid at the entrance and shot him in the head with a sniper rifle like 20 times before he finally died! And that's on the easy setting!
You are still pretty early-on in the game. If you mean the large mutant with the flamethrower, I used lots of wingsticks on him and the regular mutants, as well as plenty of buckshot. BTW, upgrade your shotgun ammo to pop rockets as soon as possible-one shot kills. Also, I just finished the Nightmare difficulty and it wasn't very hard at all...just a little bit more sniping than shotty/AR. If you are on xbox I could use a partner for the Legend co-op achievements.
Oy. I just spent 20 minutes fighting the skyscraper tall mutant. I don't know what I was doing wrong, you're clearly supposed to launch a rocket launcher at his chest target the moment he throws the rock, but I did this over and over without it hitting. Was there some timing issue I wasn't understanding?
So got "Orcs Must Die!" unlocked on Steam yesterday, and I've played about 3 hours plus thus far. Ridiculously addictive. And fucking dangerous for a perfect score freak like me.
