While Vektor's input is always welcome on any of Grandeur's interior rooms, we have others that bring Grandeur's interiors to life. There was approximately 5 others from the very start on the Grandeur Bridge to its full completion up and including the bridge walk thru. As of late we have one main guy doing most of the Grandeur interiors and he is doing a fantastic job. Thanks to all that love the bridge.
Every time I see more and more of the Avalon class, I just can't help but admire her. It is the exact same feeling I get when ever I look at the Sovereign class. Vector, you are one talented dude, and that is saying a lot. The Grandeur is a great indication that you could stand up there with the likes of Eaves, Sternbach, and Probert, or that Industrial Magic should really consider hiring you should you ever apply for the job.
If this ship was a woman, I'd already either be married to it or it'd have a restraining order out on me...
Truly beautiful design. Not to mention textures and lighting, which has always been particularly impressive with your work. A lot of people can model spacecraft, but making them look real (or as close to it as they're likely to get)...that's a rare gift. I honestly wish I could see this ship in motion with some real industry-grade CGI behind it. Keep up the great work, Vektor. ~Josh F.
Very impressive on the latest round of renders! Keep up the great work! Have you thought up how the interiors of the ship would look, such as the bridge, engineering, etc.?
The Bridge and some other rooms are already done, have been done for awhile now. Engineering is one of the rooms that have not been done yet, but is on the list to be done.
Hey, I'm a busy man these days. I've spent the last month working on five HUGE concept art pieces for a feature film production that I'm actually getting PAID for. Woohoo! I've also got two other paying gigs lined up after that, one Trek related and one for a book cover. Despite all that, I have been squeezing in some work on Grandeur here and there. I am more determined than ever to get this ship finished once and for all as it deserves to be. Stay tuned.
Wooo, I can finally say it. I knew Vektor when he was just a fan artist. Great to hear about the paying gigs. The industry should have taken you in years ago.
I would love to show it but I can't until after the movie is released. All I can tell you is that I've been working my ass off on these, literally 3 or 4 hours every week night and 10 or 12 on Saturdays and Sundays for the last 4 weeks. Any one of these five pieces would put all my previous 2D work to shame.
