Yeah, I'm shocked too. I was reading Tv Tropes and I came across this little gem. Okay, technically it's a spinoff, but close enough. Filming starts next month. This is most likely going to suck, but as long as we get one guest appearance by Mr. Feeny and Shawn I'll be happy.
It would be cool to see the whole gang together again. The actor who plays Shawn has the BEST porn star name ever, Rider Strong.
The thread title is a little misleading. I think the show is called Girl Meets World, but it is a sequel to Boy Meets World, which I remember liking when it was on.
This news is also old, it's from November. Probably will come out in the fall. However if someone does the math, them having a 13 year old doesn't even make sense. However they also skipped the 8th grade so what the hell.
They skipped more than the eighth grade. They also skipped Junior Year. And Eric graduated college in three years.
I forgot the show started in sixth grade. So yeah they skipped two grades. When they had the mini reboot in season two they should have just said it was 9th grade. Either way no one cares because it's better they skip years and tell decent stores then stay the same boringness all the time.
This thread made me go to youtube and search some clips of Boy Meets World and I found this compilation of Mr. Feeny that is still so relevant in today's society. I almost forgot how great of a character he was. [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV6IkV5p2b8[/yt]
I grew to really like it. It came on when I kind of tuned out of the TGIF line-up. I watched episodes here and there, but in its later years, I'm not ashamed I tuned in because I had a celebrity crush on Danielle Fishel. That led to me watching re-runs during college. I enjoyed the earlier episodes, but found the later episodes resonated with me. I got married during college and found myself facing some of the problems Corey and Topenka faced. I also found the earlier episodes also fit in with my nostalgia for the Junior High/High School years I was having, as well. It was also fun to spot some actors who were on the show as guest stars/recurring characters.
One of my favorite shows of all time. I don't know how I feel about a sequel or even if the original show has stood the test of time (haven't seen it in a very long time), but part of me is very excited.
Dramatic licnense. So anyone else hoping to see Stuart Minkus again? Hopefully he's still not on the other side of the school.
Disney officially ordered a pilot, and the "Girl" who will meet the world has been cast. It's happening people!
