There is a lot of good fanfic both here and over at Ad Adstra. Most of the regulars here, Mistral--SL Watson--David Falkryn (spelling) and the resident Cardassian, Neyrhs Geymor and the rest, are all quite good. I also love to read the new stories by newer writers..DINGO has an interesting story going right now and he has the dialog down pretty good... But I would recommend this site's archive and Ad Astra as well. Ad Astra has it segmented by type of story and by different crews (TOS--TNG for example)... But read read read...its pretty good. And also check out the fan production forum on this site for our CGI story tellers...good stuff there too.. Rob
I'm not sure if anyone has recommended this yet: http://www.walkersandtalkers.com/Scific/storyhjohn.htm it's called "For the Good of the Many"...it's about Starfleet's initial reaction to Kahn Singh i also reccomend Michael Gray's series Star Trek: Dark Horizon
Just a heads up since someone mentioned broken links. Yahoo has announced that it will be closing Geocities later this year. Anything in this thread with a geocities address will be gone. Warmest Wishes, Whoa Nellie My New website address: Whoa Nellie's Romance Star Trek Fan Fiction Stories http://whoanellie.fortunecity.com Most stories are NC-17 for romance novel-style scenes.
Oh yeah, the really fun ones are. Usually, the more provocative the picture on the cover of the novel the more graphic the love scenes, hence the nickname 'bodice rippers' for historical romance novels. Actually, it was Sweet Sinner (1995) by Diana Hamilton. I picked it up one day, out of sheer curiosity--and just to be able to say that I'd read a Harlequin romance. But there wasn't much sinning going on. By the end, I felt like a victim of false advertising.
Good point. What's your preference, ltcmmanderdata? Original crews, canon characters, which timeline... TOS or TNG/DS9/VOY? Maybe we can help you narrow it down.
i like all of star trek about the same. as long as its not related to the new movie at all i'm all for it. i'm looking forward to the new movie but i think of any fan fiction related to it as spoilers.
Well then, I'd recommend going to someplace like Ad Astra and diving in somewhere at random. I haven't run into anything there that wasn't worth my time.
If you want good fan fic, don't read mine. I'm not saying its horrible, but a lot of it is still very much a wip. That being said, I wouldn't mind any constructive criticism if you do decide to read them.

http://valjiir.us Official site for the Valjiir universe. It achieved some popularity and notoriety as a long series of stories in a fanzine, "In a Different Reality", back in the 70's and 80's. It's back, with dozens of new stories, re-writes of all the old stories, and an enormous amount of really impressive CGI artwork. Please note, there is a great deal of mature content.
