Very nice. And, sales-wise, you can't go wrong putting a nice portrait of Picard on a cover.

Are you familar with the old Klingon theorem that equations are best formulated cold?

It is very cold in space . . . .

But, still, you wouldn't want the wrong equation beaming you into a super nova!

I usually strongly dislike covers that use photographic elements and try to pass them off as painterly, but this one is done quite adeptly.

It's certainly not bad. But nothing spectaculair either. I'm also thinking that all three books together will form one big cover.

B4? Hopefully we're not going to see the Resurrection of Data, one main character coming back from the dead is definitely enough for one year.....

I've seen some speculation among fans that hope that's exactly what will happen, but I seriously doubt it. I don't think David Mack is going that direction. If anything I expect a serious curve ball.

Well, consedering an earlier synopsis for this novel said something about the TP wanting to create an army of androids, B4's part will probably be no more then that.

I'm actually betting it's a flashback involving Soong, rather than Data....

^ Indeed. My original working title for the book was A Soong of Ice and Fire, but for some reason the publisher put the kibosh on that. Can't imagine why. ;)

    LOL! :guffaw:
But seriously, didn't Soong die on ST:TNG? Unless there's that whole "having an escape plan wherever he went" idea that Soong put into place again.

Him being on the cover doesn't mean he's back in this novel. It could just mean there's something else going on here that involves the legacy of the Soong androids.

Suffice to say I hate we have to wait another month for this!

Well, Soong was a very old man at the time of TNG, and the image on the cover is of his younger self. Make of that what you will.

"Huh? Why is Brother Adrian on the cover of a Star Trek book?"

That was what I was thinking as well. Maybe we'll get to see when he first started working on his androids?
