Last night my friend picked up an orphaned kitten at a cat-shelter, it's estimated to be about seven weeks old:

^It is, but there's something about the colors in it's face that makes it look perpetually sad...

Here's one of my own Füb, who just happened to sit there looking out the window, when I tried to take this photo of my tree:

Speaking of cats, has anyone here seen the video series on lions? "The Lion Ranger". Keith Richardson has a relationship with lions not much different from how we are with our pet cats. Amazing. :)

Perro still thinks she might be a parrot.

At least he has the pirate name to go with the Parrot persona.

trekkiedane--A tortie...you're in for a real treat. They're either some of the most awesome cats you'll ever own, or terrors. There's not much in-between. Look up "tortietude." ;)

All very peaceful and harmonious. Sebastian is getting along quite well with Marmalade, Midge and Pippin. (And with Mrs Nerys and myself.)

Speaking of peace and harmony, my cats have a "biting" problem to deal with - my new dog, Martin.

Oh, Alienesse Martin is adorable! Is he a young adult or is he going to end up growing to be as big as a St. Bernard or a Burnese Mountain dog? :luvlove:

Either way...you are going to have fun in your household over the holidays while everyone learns to get along!

I hope all of your furry friends get along well soon!

    Have fun! :)

Martin is a little over 3 months old right now, so he still has a lot of growing up to do. He's not going to be as massive as a St. Bernard, but he is going to be big since he actually is a mountain dog. The breed is called Carpathian Shepherd, it's one of our local breeds, and they do get to be pretty big.

He is fun to have around, yes. We're getting along for the most part, except when Martin bites a little too hard. The vet said we should bite him back. Yeah, right. Well, he's still a puppy, you can't really hold anything against him.:adore:

the "biting back" actually works if you're quick enough...as soon as he bites, you bite him on the ear. If they're young enough, and 3 months IS, he'll get the idea quickly that biting results in pain for him.

Looks to me as if Martin is about to receive part of his "education" concerning the order of things. Cats tend to be good at this.

^Yeah, he's already gotten his share of claw-enforced education, but it doesn't seem to deter him from his efforts of playing with the cats.
