1970, time for Rodriguez's Cold Fact album. Revered in Australia and South Africa, totally ignored by America. Rodriguez himself was from Michigan. There was a documentary recently called Searching for Sugar Man about trying to find this dude who was oblivious to his success (that must have been a terrible contract, LOL)

Soon you know I'll leave you
    And I'll never look behind
'Cos I was born for the purpose
    That crucifies your mind

1969.... the year a little-known sci-fi show would be cancelled. It was called Star Track. It's most famous character was Dr. Spock.

Oooh, I used to play In the year 2525 all the time as youngling. Along with:
Stuck in the Middle With you
    White Rabbit
    Age of Aquarius
    Summer in The City
    Spinning Wheel

(not sure of each one's exact year of release, but, pretty sure I played them all in 1972 when I was 8, when we first moved up to Lake Tahoe)

1969, the year of the Court of the Crimson King. There was a lovely feel for fantasy in this era.

And I'm shocked that Dylan seems to still be a no go for youtube, takes a lot of searching to find stuff that is not a cover. I assume there is some Dylan-bots cleaning out a lot of stuff posted.

But here you go, 1969, Lay Lady Lay. No visuals but this is Dylan so we are here for the voice :adore:

 Spinning Wheel would have worked for yesterday, 19'69'.

    :bolian:

Fantastic choice! That really raises the bar. If we're not careful we'll scare the squares.

    That is strange...

Luckily the bots haven't cleaned out everything, yet. ;)

So, 68. There can be only one choice for me. KingDaniel, you may remember this one from a Simpsons episode, the church lady organist nearly died playing it. :guffaw:

I haven't even listened to it yet and I know what it is :guffaw:

In 1968 Johnny Cash performed a concert at Folsom Prison and sang Folsom City Blues, which would become one of his many signature songs. Supernatural has an episode of this name though I don't know if they included the song in it.. perhaps someone can enlighten us.

According to the following site: http://www.tvrage.com/Supernatural/episodes/517702

The song Folsom Prison Blues wasn't utilized in the episode. [season 2 episode 19]

Music used: Alice in Chains/Rooster @ closing scenes. Booker T and the MGs/Green Onions - when Sam and Dean enter prison.

Maybe copyright reasons? Seems a bid odd not to use it!

Is it 1967? It must be JIMI time!!

One of my favorites, Red House. I've been guilty of singing this song rather a lot. From Jimi Hendrix's debut album, Are You Experienced.
