I keep hearing about this new ST series coming out called "The Fall", but I can't seem to find any info about it anywhere.

What is it exactly, and when will it start?

It's a five-book series set in the TNG era following on from Typhon Pact / Cold Equations, featuring various crews and authors telling a story over a 60 day period.

    So far known:
DS9 book by David R George III
    Titan book by James Swallow
Books by Dayton Ward and (probably) David Mack

There is a blurb and title for the first of these, "Revelations and Dust", which is the August book for 2013 - presumably the rest of the series will follow monthly through to December.

Blurb: "The Federation is rocked to its core as the Typhon Pact is suspected of being behind a barbarous act that shatters the fragile peace of the Alpha Quadrant."

Thanks. Sounds good. Sign me up for that. Have to get the rest of the Typhon Pact books and Cold Equations stuff first, though.

It sounds like it'll be an epic literature event, I can't wait to read them, especially the DS9 one!

I'm already wondering what comes after The Fall...

(of the Typhon Pact, I'm betting!)

TrekMovie has posted the working/placeholder titles and authors for the whole miniseries now (but only series information:

    http://trekmovie.com/2012/12/24/2013-star-trek-novels-preview/

    (Edited to reflect corrections)
Sep: DS9: Revelations and Dust -- David R. George III
Oct: The Crimson Shadow -- Una McCormack
Nov: A Ceremony of Losses -- David Mack
Dec: TTN: The Poisoned Chalice -- James Swallow
Jan: Peaceable Kingdoms -- Dayton Ward

Wait a minute, James is doing two of them? (And I thought the chalice from the palace had the brew that was true!)

The more James Swallow the better! Excellent author list and wonderful titles.

Huh, that's strange, I heard on the podcast "Literary Treks" that Una McCormack was doing one of them... I can't remember where that info initially came from, though.

Honestly, I think they don't know what they're talking about themselves.

Now they have listed The Crimson Shadow as written by Una McCormack, but still say it is the Titan novel, despite the fact that James' has already said he is writing the Titan novel in that series.

Maybe two Titan novels?? I know, I doubt that myself. Atleast, not two Titan novels released so quickly after each other.

I do hope Una does write one of novels in this series. Although, two Swallow novels isn't a bad thing either.

Given that all those novels take place within a 60 day period, I doubt that there will be two Titan novels.

Just FYI, Crimson Shadow is being written by Una, not me, and it isn't a Titan novel.

    Merry Christmas!

Naw, the chalice from the palace has the pellet with the poison. The vessel with the pestle has the brew which is true. :techman:

I've edited my list above to reflect the corrections. (Except the correction about the chalice and the vessel. Now, who's on first?)

You know, with David's record of killing characters, and a title like his novel is going to have.... Oh damn....

;) Please don't see that as an attack David. I absolutely love your work, including the fact that you don't mind killing characters, since people die in the real world as well (something that was driven home hard for my family last night).

Una McCormack, too? Damn, just when I thought the list couldn't get any sweeter.
