And how soon would these sales figures impact on the direction of the book?

No big deal, I bought Justice League Europe for awhile back in the day.

The direction of the book and the renaming seem to do more with the events that will happen in Forever Evil and that are happening right now in Trinity War than anything else. Sales maybe down and perhaps this is a combination of the two dictating the new direction, but I don't think it's one thing or the other. They could have just outright cancelled the book and no one would probably have cared much.

One of those Marvel/DC crossovers was a lot more interesting than I realized.

Last couple pages to the Kingdom Come sequel The Kingdom.

I can see the JLA suing any other country that tries to Justice league Spinoff.

And then some thing weird happens to all their money because Bruce Wayne thinks they're hubric deserving a goo smite.

Sorry, it was late when I posted. I have now added the link. It shows JLA still selling almost 75000 copies but with an 8% drop from the previous month.

    8%? Is that bad?

Still it sounds like this was in the works for a while. Probably longer than three months, since its spinning out of events in the book that have been in play for at least two months.

JLA 4&5 were the fill-in issues by Brett Booth. Certainly that probably hurt the sales.

Yeah, I agree that it has probably been in the works for a while. I think originally the JLI was supposed to have been the third book in this story anyway. What gets me is that less than a year into a series and there is already a "title" change--it just strikes me as being gimmicky.

I would really like to see some information regarding how the trinity war was originally supposed to play out, because it seems like the plan has changed drastically over the past two years.

Yeah its a gimmick. Sadly comics from the big two are event and gimmick driven these days. The 80s incarnation was Justice League for the first six issues and Justice League America for the rest of its run.

The Jurgeons JLI? That was a holdover from pre-FP (like Aquaman, Firestorm and Hawkman), it's essentially a sequel to the Judd Winnick Justice League: Generation Lost. It was definitely not meant to serve as one of the Justice League books.

The Outsider being Alfred from Earth 3 had been speculated for awhile. I don't think the general shape of Trinity War has changed. It was always suppose to be a bridge to later bigger events involving the villains and the multiverse.

I think a lot of people were expecting a war between Leagues led by Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

I think I was expecting a New 52 take on Twilight of the Superheroes for some reason. That kind of would be awesome I think. I am wanting to like Trinity War, but it's just completely underwhelming to me. I am however looking forward to Villains Month and Forever Evvvvvvvvvilll.

Based on Flashpoint, I was expecting it to have to do with the three universes rolled into one. I was surprised when Stormwatch wasn't part of the story.

On a side note, one thing I have really liked in the new 52 is how well the Wildstorm characters fit in with the established DC ones.
