I was wondering - who of you play online games and which ones?

I used to play chess, pachisi, backgammon and scrabble on yahoo games but haven't done so in ages, for lack of time and opponents.
Does anyone else still play Nationstates? It used to be quite the fashion here, 10 years ago. My old nation died when I forgot to put it into vacation mode, but I started a new one a few months ago and so far it looks quite promising :)

sure, they are online after all.
I don't use facebook myself, though. It's a complete nightmare as far as data security is concerned.

I know ridiculous the privacy settings are ridiculously detailed and when I click I do not want to share that I have just gotten a new sword in a game it shares it anyway!

The games I am playing now are social empires, social wars, dragon city, Dark warriors (basically any social point game) I am an admin on the social point community forums in charge of social wars and social empires. Am I allowed to post a link to that forum?

I don't see why not. Afaik the board rules don't say one mustn't.
My commiserations at being an Admin (I tech-admin several small boards, so I can imagine what you have to endure). LOL maybe we can talk AnthonyF and Bonzie into creating a special lounge for Mods and Admins where we can lick our wounds and find a compassionate shoulder to cry on? :D

Don't really play any games anymore. Only Colony Attack (a free android game) and candy crush saga at the moment.

I play Farmville 2 on Facebook. Also occasionally Candy Crush Saga but am stuck on a level and I'm getting annoyed with it!

Games people play, you take it or you leave it.
Things that they say, just don't make it right
If I'm telling you the truth right now, would you believe it
Games people play, in the middle of the night

I haven't played Nationstates in YEARS, but I vaguely remember it being fun.

I don't really play any online games. Generally, if I'm playing a game, there is some kind of drinking component to it. :p

When I was in junior high I was obsessed with those text-based D&D games you play over dial up connections. I think I found a way to cheat one such that whenever I logged on, it would bump my character up like 10,000 points in 'rank' or whatever the hell it was.

    Ah, those were the days.

My gaming days are over, I'm afraid. I used to play an MMORPG called City of Heroes but grew tired of it after a few years. Very rarely, I still play The Sims 3.

I also miss the Atari 2600. That was the last console I was seriously into. I did have a Dreamcast, but only so I could play Gauntlet Legends.

Have you given up playing completely, or just the online and computer games?
I have quit online games for a lack of opponents (if someone is in the mood for a game of chess, pachisi, scrabble or backgammon, please feel free to contact me =) )
But I still play Senet (an ancient Egyptian board game, part chance / part tactics, similar to a mix of Pachisi and Backgammon) against my computer during particularly long downloads or virus scans :)

I'm a Scrabble fan. Well, addict, really. I have been my whole life, and with the introduction of online Scrabble, it just got worse. Facebook changing their Scrabble format has helped curb my addiction, though. I can't stand the look of their new layout, and it takes ages to load, so I've stopped playing online altogether. I used to keep 40-50 active games going, but now I'm back to the good old fashioned analog version, which means a game once or twice a month.
