That is verily awesome! I take it this was a post-production decision, since the LCARS don't match up on the practical set. Will you be doing this for all shots? Mark
Don't cha know it! Every...single...shot. The lcars on set were just for reference, something for the actors to interact with. It also gave a reference point as to where they pressed buttons on the close ups, so there's no hassle with trying to get it to match up on the new graphics afterwards.
Johnny, I tried to show a friend recently what you kids were doing, but the build-up pics seem to be gone from this thread. Any place where I can find them again?
I can't remember the specifics of what was up before but this is the low down of the construction. http://www.dosime.co.uk/temptrek.php?id=7 ...and some on set.
If I had a place to put it! On what kind of ship will this play? It looks like a Nova in your MSD. PS. Your combadges look kinda familiar
Yeah, she's a nova all right, Rhoade Island variant. Set in September/October 2394. Familiar... how exactly...?
Amazing Post production! But lads either full beard or clean shavin the five o'clock shadow is not a very futuristic look. Another suggestion would be to put a console behind the captains chair to hide the area under MSD is to empty and uninteresting, or put some access panels to break it up. Keep up the good work!
My University offered me £10'000 to help with my project. ... and my gf's telling me I need to get some real friends.
3:30 section as far as has been done. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NtI6RyilAY[/yt] I think it'll do HD as well if you go to the actual youtube page. J.
the work on the LCAR's has really paid off. It's ashame you haven't used more wide angles to really show your sets off though.
That's amazing footage. The words you flash on the screen the first time flash a bit too fast. But aside from that... wow! Amazing!
