U.S.S. Korolev Deep Space Exploration Cruiser. (Thanks to Vance's and Jaynz Toolkits) Uses the Jaynz Korolev NCC# but a custom hull.

This is the ship commanded by my 6 year old son during our nightly Star Trek bedtime stories.

    Very cool design. :)
Must make your little one all giddy when he sees just what it is he is in command of in your bedtime stories. :)

Seems redundant to have the registry three times on the overhead view but none on the side view.

    Otherwise, nice design.

He is crazy about Trek. While still in the hospital, We watched "The Balance of Terror" the day after he was born. He cried when it ended.

I used Paint Shop Pro 9 (ancient I know) for construction. The Jaynz U.S.S. Shepherd was the starting point, additional Jaynz/Vance Toolkit parts, and some custom parts of my own. I should not have said "custom hull" in the first post.

    I didn't notice. Good point.

Moved the pennants and added double turbolifts to the bridge module

    Lovely design.

Is there a reason that all four nacelles angle outwards slightly?

That is the way they are in the toolkit.

Unless you mean the rotation. I needed the control reactors to be clear of the support pylon so the nacelles get rotated.

This makes me think of a TOS version of the Constellation class. :). (Stargazer)

A model would be great. If I could do 3d modeling I would love to set up a Shapeways account.

The Constellation class is one of my favorites.

The storytime missions tend to be more scientific than combat hence the extra dishs and shuttle bays.

I'm sure your young Captain is enjoying many adventures aboard the starship Korolev! Kudos on sharing Trek with your son and building a ship for him to explore the Final Frontier. :techman:

Yeah... Just wanted to make sure everyone received credit for parts.

He is excited that his ship has generated so much enthusiasm on the board.
