Almost nothing is so serious that a sombrero, mustache, or PEZ added to it would be inappropriate. Sometimes, you've just got to laugh at the absurd.

I think it is kinda stupid myself, but it's not hurting me, so let people have their fun. Just be glad it hasn't gone the way of the whole "Day of the Dove" fad a few years back.

 

Being a Mexican I find it offensive. Being a Trekker I find it stupid, we have wonderful conversations here but it seems that whenever the conversation gets good someone will try to fit a sombrero gag or joke into the mix when it's not needed.

But i hear over at sombreroBBS they are having problems with Trek jokes in the threads. Oh wait I'm not Mexican.
