If any of you haven't tried any of the classic series audio dramas (available for download at the BF site for pretty cheap), this might be the one to start with... http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2013/04/beginning-250413095008.html Yup. The prequel you never thought you'd, er...see. What do y'all think?
It's not bad, it's more of a story set before An Unearthly Child rather than a prequel. There are 11 books in this series one for each Doctor which all have one ongoing thread. There isn't enough continuity to call it an arc.
No, you're thinking of Destiny Of The Doctors or the kids novellas, not sure which - this is Big Finish telling the story of the Doctor leaving Gallifrey.
That's another series. Sept is Five (Fanfare for the Common Men); October is Six (Space Race); November is Seven (Assassination Games) ... It's a trilogy all set in 1963. The Beginning is the beginning of a three-story arc of Companion Chronicles. The first one is a pre-series First Doctor story. The second is with Two, Jamie, and I believe Zoe. The third is a Romana story. That was originally to have both Mary Tamm and Lala Ward, but Mary passed away shortly before they would have recorded it. There is an ongoing story among them, with one character being brought into them ... someone who was unknowingly kidnapped by the Doctor when the Tardis stole him.
