Beyond: Two Souls does look interesting from a story perspective, but what's the gameplay like? For all I know this could be a new Tetris game.

Anyway, it does look interesting. I'll be keeping my eyes on it, but I can't get excited over a cutscene.

Well looks like the Vita is dead. I was hoping that Sony would learn from its mistakes and turn the Vita into a true competitor for the 3DS, but it's not to be. Time to go buy a Game Gear.

Here's a fantastic image that sums up E3 this year perfectly. :guffaw:

    Nice.

So... am I the only one that thinks the Wonderbook is going to flop?

    Watched too much of this.

New Tomb Raider = Uncharted: Lara Croft

    All racing games = Burnout

Ubisoft presentation was cringeworthy and painful.

Is it me or our developers getting a bit less nerdy? Many seemed well groomed and dressed and even fit. Ed Boon's white canvas belt aside.

That Wii U Pro controller seemed to undercut that crazy controller. I don't think they can serve two masters here, they should commit to their madness. That said I'm still not sold on that controller.

G4 should run uncensored coverage at night, some presentations like Farcry 3 was like one long beep tone. Though the tits must have caused fits in the control room.

Sony's presentation felt a little limp, MS and Nintendo are pushing envelopes and Sony was more of the same. Of course, it remains to be seen if those ideas are half-baked but they're interesting.

Unlike some of you guys in this thread I find myself using devices during TV viewing. Whether it be surfing the web during a sitcom or hitting IMDB to look up an actor or what not so I'm curious about the smart glass stuff. I was quite surprised about the inclusion of iOS and Android devices.

"Now I know what you're thinking -- this 3DS 2D Mario game looks exactly like the Wii U 2D Mario game we just showed you, but don't worry it's a completely different game. In this version you collect coins!"

Beyond, Watch Dogs, and Rayman are the only games that interest me and only barely at that. The whole show was a complete disaster for everyone. Hopefully Nintendo's 3DS show goes better tomorrow night.

Fortunately I don't own a PS3 or 360, so there are quite a few old games that can keep me busy during The Great Video Game Crash of '14.

And so far I see no reason to upgrade from my PS2.

I've really enjoyed my ps3, it's my blu-ray player, my Netflix streamer, plays all the .avis/.mp4s I download, and oh yeah, plays games. :) There really are some good games out there.

Anyone see Sony's Book of Spells AR thing with the Move? I was getting frustrated just watching the demonstration!

Sci-fi never predicted just how goofy the future was going to be. :cardie:

Mass Effect? Red Dead Redemption? Portal? I think this generation has been pretty fucking good.

Well, Nintendo's presentation was rather... underwhelming. Nothing really interested me about the Wii U and its launch window stuff, so I'll be giving it a pass until there's more stuff out there for it.

I've still got a long list of games to catch up on for other systems at any rate.

It was rather painful. I'm not quite sure what Sony was thinking with the whole Wonderbook concept, but then I'm pretty sure that I'm not in the target demographic.

Anyone else watching the live coverage? I just started watching and they're showing a game called Planetside 2.

ETA: Oh, it turns out this game is Free-to-Play. Pretty awesome looking considering.

The Wii U is direction less. I'm not even sure why it exists and Nintendo's big conference has done nothing to explain it. Nintendo Land is supposed to be the killer app for the system, but I don't even understand what it is. I originally thought it was the OS, like the PS3's home, but it's apparently a standalone game? Killer apps for casual gamers shouldn't be confusing.
