Thing I'm wondering about now - is that it's been established that apparently Jack's dad was never on Oceanic 815 to begin with (they can't find the body), making it unnecessary for Ben to have ever killed John to begin with to "maintain the balance" to get back to the island. Was this planned out by the MIB from the beginning so he could take Locke's shape to get Jacob killed? Was this the "loophole" that Jacob mentioned?
Well...we don't know that Christian was on the original 815, either. His coffin was, but we never saw his body...
or for "Dave." Since he was never alive, only a figment of Hurley's imagination when he was in the Mental Hospital. Or for Walt, since walt isn't dead (or on the island).

From Entertainment Weekly: Maggie Grace, Harold Perrineau, Cynthia Watros, and Rebecca Mader will be returning this season. (I'm not sure how many of those were reported earlier, but Maggie Grace, while speculated, hasn't confirmed before now).
