I'm taking a break from Fallout 3 and switching over to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I like Fallout 3, but trying to navigate the DC ruins has finally annoyed me to the point where I don't want to play anymore. Switching over to Oblivion because I'm hoping it's a similar type/ quality of a game without a large part of the map being turned into a PITA maze.

I'm having a little GTA IV (minus the DLCs) revival. On my first session last night, completely out of the blue and without even trying, I got the Bowling achievement.

I'm not sure I know why--because he's really nothing special in the game--but I found Galactis to be so cool in MVC3. Makes me want to go to a comic store and get caught up.

Anyway, done with MVC3 for a while. I was given Zelda: Spirit Tracks for my birthday a few weeks ago, and am playing it. I remember Phantom Hourglass got hard as hell and I gave up on that one, but I'm not finding Spirit Tracks as difficult--challenging, but not head-banging frustrating. Only at the snow temple (or whatever it's called) so we'll see.

I finally dove into StarCraft 2 recently. I'm enjoying the campaign so far.

  6. I started playing Uncharted 2 this weekend.

OHMYGOD. I knew the game was good from the stellar reviews, but I really wasn't prepared. OMG the collapsing building, the helicopter outside, i don't think i've ever screamed out holy shit over and over again while playing a game before. Amazing amazing game. Hollywood wishes they could make something like this.

Riviera: The Promised Land for the PSP. A neat little JRPG that strives to be something a little more than just another Dragon Quest clone.

I think I posted this twice before, but Dynasty Warriors 3 is a good game to wind down, or let the brain rest...

And come to think of it...

Dynasty Warriors used to be kind of a guilty pleasure for me. Yeah, I know they aren't really great games, but they were fun time-wasters. Haven't played one in years, though.

I'm playing this too. I wish there were more characters from the get-go too, but there will be DLC characters on the way. Shuma-Gorath and Jill Valentine (RE 5) are on the way. I think they will be going for 5 bucks each.

Who has your main team been? So far my main team has been Taskmaster, Amatarasu and Magneto. Sometimes I'll sub Magneto in for Trish, Spencer or Wesker. Really loving this game though. I was a huge fan of the first 2 MvC games and Tatsunoko vs Capcom as well.

This is also a little bit different style of play compared to Street Fighter.

I just started Bulletstorm tonight! I played the prologue and first two chapters. It's definitely fun and it's definitely over the top, but from the reviews I was expecting a lot more dick jokes. Maybe that comes later. The sets are beautiful and there's some really cool set-pieces. My only problem is that it's impossible to tell your buddies apart from the bad guys; I recall I had that same problem with Gears of War.

It's hard to kill the bad guys in different ways to get more points, though. And it's really hard to get a head shot even if you whip him and he freezes in mid air briefly.

    Definitely recommended.

Is anyone else playing Bulletstorm? It's pretty fun. I'm up to the start of Act Three now and there's lots of big beautiful set pieces, like controlling a three story tall mecha godzilla.

Running through Metal Gear Solid 4 for the first time. Just finished Act 1. Its slow going since I'm trying for a no alerts / no kills run. Save points are way too far apart for my tastes. Tonight's endeavors ended after losing more than an hour in the first area of Act 2.

So far, I'm liking it significantly less than MGS3 or MGS:TTS, but all of the continuity porn has kept it above MGS2 thus far.

been playing UT2004 with bots and i played a CTF match on Joust 5-on-5....

it was INSANE! i ended up with over 500 points, over 300 kills, about 15 Holy Shits, 2 Wicked Sicks, a Godlike, several double, multi, mega and ultra kills, at least 2 Dominatings and a killing spree. i used 'booster' about 5 times, did 2 Beserks, a Speed and an invisible.

    my team won 2-0.

Finished the original Assassin's Creed - highly enjoyable if a bit flawed -, now moving on to ACII.

    Killzone 3.

Am currently 62% of the way through the trophies after one-and-a-bit playthroughs. Need to do an elite playthrough at some point too. I'm loving the MP. Playing as a Marksman most of the time. Love that invisibility cloak with the radar scrambler and the silenced machine pistol.
