Scotty's Sidekick

Do we have any information yet about who or what Scotty's little alien sidekick is? I loved seeing him show up in that red uniform at the end. It somehow seemed kind of Star Trek TAS (in a good way). Looking forward to seeing him in the sequel.

 

I can tell you this: He likes to sit on top of things.

 

I loved the little tyke! I hope he's around for the next one.

 

He looked liked a Jem'Hadar who wasn't quite as genetically engineered as his bigger brothers.

 

The name is Keenser and he/she/it is a Starfleet officer

 

Have we got a picture of him?

 

I just thought he was gonna Chase Picard, Worf and Data in a dune buggy.

Looks similar but not quite the same.

 

I loved that thing he did when Scotty beamed away, like a dog missing its owner. Adorable!

I didn't really care for this little guy, but the rest of the audience seemed to enjoy him, so I guess I'm not opposed to a return...

 

I want to know how he ended up on the ship.

 

Scotty probably janked him along when he wouldn't tell where he'd hidden Scotty's secret whiskey stash.

 

I wasn't sure about him at the beginning however by the time Scotty was beaming away he'd won me over. When he did his doggy sad face most of the IMAX cinema I was in awwwed.

 

At first, I thought that would be the cute comic relief for the movie, and was deathly afraid of that.

But, it was actually nicely done, and I didn't mind it at all.

 

Does anyone remember exactly what it was Scotty said that made this little guy answer: "Me."
I remember it all being funny, but not what Scotty said.

 

He was played by this guy.

 

Oh man...I thought he was the Oompa Loompa! Awesome.
