Currently rewatching Voyager on Netflix ( finally on watch instantly! YAY!) for probably the fifth or sixth time since the series ran. This and TNG are my favorites. This one the most because it really feels like I'm traveling with them. Not sure if it's the 75 years from home factor and how it creates a strong bond among the crew or just the idea of it, but I really love this one the most.

Welcome to the Voyager forum, where we don't mention Before Dishonor.

Even though I kinda enjoyed it.

There are two threads about it on the first page so I wouldn't say it's not mentioned.

Oh, I'd say it's mentioned. It's just that you need to break out the personal shielding equipment and a codpiece after saying it. :D

Now that 4 of the 5 Star Trek programs are on Netflix, I started watching a little of each again. I'm starting to think Voyager might have been the best of the lot.
Anyway, I'm old enough to have seen reruns of TOS in the 70s and 80s and first run episodes of the later shows, some of which I watched more than others. But I also like the Abrams reboot. I think it turned out much better than a lot of people expected.
It's interesting, but Voyager plays really well in the wake of the Abrams film. In the first episodes, the marquis and starfleet crew members butt heads and argue. The no-infighting rules that TNG had to follow seemed to have been jettisoned by Voyager and obviously by Abrams in his version as well. Plus, Voyager is a nice contrast since it has more female cast members.

I grew up on Voyager, it was the first one I saw in its entirety. I like all 3 of the later series almost equally and they all had their share of stellar episodes! I'm a bit biased against Janeway though...

    Welcome "a bit biased against...".

If you want to be converted, drop by the sexy thread before the mods shut it down for verbosity. :mallory:

You can like both captains, you know. Or be their love child, like Lurok. :)

    Thanks.
I think she's sort of cool. Not as stuffy or reluctant to act as Picard. More thoughtful than Kirk. She's one righteous babe.

    Welcome to new people!!

Voyager is a smorgasbord of good stuff IMO. Humor, great characters, gripping double eps better than most of the movies..

    A smorgasbord I tell you!

Hi all! *waves shyly* I neglected to introduce myself but joined a few weeks ago. I'm an incurable Trek fan, I fear, but I love Voyager in particular.

Here let me get this for KD.

Welcome to the Voyager forum, where we . . . pretend that we didn't steal Robbie McNeill from TNG.

(Yeah, that was the best I had ;))
