Um, so what happened to my hero Samuel Cogley (a true comic genius) and where is the report on the romancing of JJ Abrams at Comic Com.;)

I suspect it did not go over well, judging by the lack of sombrero-related content on the Trekmovie video of the Abrams' Fringe panel.

So, when the film comes out who is going to fire up After Effects and sombreroise the whole damn movie?

Every character, every ship. With enough of us working around the clock it could be done within weeks of release!

I saw his reaction in the Doctor Who forum. Confused one person. I actually posted it in the chat, but I have a feeling he didn't look at it, and decided on using last night.

HELP! I just had to re-format the hard drive on my laptop. Lost all my ST pics... the avatars I had been saving that I liked (was hoping to contribute those to whoever wanted them for posterity)...
Thank the Great Bird I still have my purple Spock sombrero avatar!!
Could some of you PhotoShop experts (or others) point me to the STXI wallpapers? I have the latest character (big 4) wallpapers, but I can't find the Delta wallpapers for STXI anywhere so far. They had a blue/gold background, also an all-blue and an all-gold background wallpaper.
    Any help would be appreciated.

It must have been those Star Trek XI pictures without sombreros on them - I hear they have a tendency to kill hard drives!

I dunno about harddrives, but I've noticed a distinct correlation between "no Sombrero avatar" and "humorless grouch". Clearly a lack of Sombrero kills one's sense of humor. :p

Imagine my surprise when I launch the main Trek Today page and the ad in the right margin features two people wearing sombreros!

just because i'm not wearing a sombrero doesn't mean i'm humourless.

I'll admit I'm sort of amused by the idea of a full-length Rogue Sombrero Edition -- out there roaming the Internetz, always one step ahead of Paramount's minions, like a virtual V. or a Zorro.

Then we'll have to see what we can drum up.

Er, though, were this to be any kind of board-wide effort...how would we do it without running afoul of TBBS's anti-piracy policy?

The trailer should be doable at least.

Sombrero Trek: Boldly going where no one wants to go...
