Can't be sure for other online retailers and bookstores, but I just ordered my copy of Peaceable Kingdoms on bol.com. So yeah, can't wait!!
Ordered mine months ago, and recall seeing a week or two back that Dayton had gotten his first batch of author's copies...
Might open the review thread later, usually do it on weekends but then the release date is a day early too ..
I'm only half way through Poisoned Chalice, I'm going to have to finish it up this weekend. I finished the last 2 in the series in a day each but some personal stuff got in the way of letting me do the same with Chalice. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends up.

Of course! Standing order for all Trek books. Dayton Ward is running a contest for the first ten sightings: http://daytonward.wordpress.com/2013/12/21/the-hunt-for-peaceable-kingdoms-begins/
Man, I would love something like that. Unfortunately we only have chain bookstores here, and you're lucky if they get any release on time. /...may still sadly drive out and stare at the shelving just in case.
I'm lucky in that Galaxy is in Sydney and I live in an outer Sydney suburb, and also make a point of traveling into the city every Thursday night (since December 1979) to pick up books from them and comics from a specialist comic shop (which only stopped getting Trek books when Diamond Distributors stopped putting Simon & Schuster publications in the weekly orderpak). But Galaxy has standing orders for customers all over Australia. Are you not able to find a dependable, efficient science fiction specialist store somewhere in USA that does mail order?
Wow, so I had a Christmas miracle. I drove out there this morning, figuring I'd just get a cup of coffee before people started coming over. This bookstore never has anything on time. And it had a copy! I'm thinking its possibly because the author is also a Floridian, and booksamillion tends to showcase local authors. Thanks for the heads up about the contest! You can usually order stuff online, but unfortunately, local stores are almost impossible to find here. The only self run book shops tend to be used stores, as all the others are driven out by Barnes and Noble and Books-a-million. I do occasionally drive up to Tampa or Orlando though to make large purchases of backlogged comics and books I want in hard copy.
Just got mine in Barnes & Noble. I checked the shelves, and it wasn't there, but as I passed by a stocking cart, I checked and it was on the cart! WooHoo!!
lol... So now, should I start reading it, or wait until Thursday, when I go to my favorite bar & grill?
That's not fair that you already have the book, I have to wait for a week and a halve So why don't you all wait with reading untill I have my book
