One of the things you might try is this multi-hulled ship but in the refit era upside down.

Imagine a deep chested tearfrop shaped secondary hull--very like Fuzzy Modem's, and an even wider style excelsior hull--with conventional attachment points. Above the primary saucer hull, you have an ever widening arrowhead type tertiary hull that widens to an extra large, very flat shuttlebay atop. Struts extend from it down to warp nacelles, even as more swanlike nacelles rise from the secondary hull.

Needed a vessel to supplement the Independence class. Essentially a scaled down Constitution class, with a nacelle/pylon configuration reminiscent of the Ambassador. Opted to include two torpedo launchers in the neck instead of the single hidden one underneath the saucer. Windows are placed on the saucer and neck, with the secondary hull ones coming later after I finish it off.

I'm curious, and this isn't meant to be an insult, (the ships look great) but are those "plugs" in the sides of the ships actually supposed to represent windows?

I assume that by your question you have never done 3D modeling?

Got some basic textures on. The grid lines on the saucer needed to have their positions tweaked a bit. Pylons have their grilly things. Impulse engines altered. Secondary hull has a new cutout. Temporary rooms set up.

Looks good! Those pairs of circles that are all over the ship, are those RCS thrusters?

I like the bridge module on the Carpe Diem. Looks like a transition between the module we see on "Kelvin" and the one we see on the Constitution class.

Her impulse engines are quite lovely, too! They look really functional.

Everything to do with the Renegade saga. Areas will be revealed as the story moves along. Revealed areas I constantly talk about already. There maybe at least one more story I could add to the timeline, but I'm not sure yet.

With the end of the year I bring you the concept 'hero' vehicle for the Black Guard novels, the prequel series to Star Trek Renegade. Influenced by the Conestoga (my favorite Enterprise vessel) this vessel incorporates Human, Andorian, and Tellarite (once I find good references on what people generally thing the Tellarite ships look like) technology.Three concepts are some directions I might go with this vessel. NOTE: Layout of stats based on whoever did the stats for the Enterprise for the series Star Trek: New Voyages/Phase II. Please comment if you know who did them so I can give them credit for that.

Finished the modeling on the Carpe Diem. Still tweaking textures, so that will be shown later.

No...I have never attempted 3-d Modeling. Sorry if the question came off as insulting. I thought it might be possible that those plugs were thrusters or sensor protrusions for all I knew. as I said, the ship designs look great.

I didn't take it as an insult. I was asking because I didn't know whether or not you knew anything about modeling windows in objects. I usually leave them for last because they leave a mess in the model that takes a while to clean up, but I do like to lay them out so I have an idea what it is going to look like in the end.

Somewhat update of the Stovas. Ignore the stats; they are no longer accurate.
