Yes. Cameron was acquired by the Resistance as early as Dungeons and Dragons in Season One. This takes place after that episode.

 

I see that "beaming" isn't unique to the Star Trek future.

 

That was also in the character notes of the character in the script for the film. Uncle Bob also referred to it as Advanced Prototype. It's possible, but I doubt it.
