I want Huey Lewis. I'm posted it on their website submission thing a bunch of times. Need more drunken party music. It's all about singing Evenflow, Jeremy, and Once at parties.
One big meh. Downloads for the week of Feb. 15: Turbonegro – "Wasted Again" White Zombie – "More Human Than Human" White Zombie – "Black Sunshine"
I'll get "More Human Than Human" for the nostalgia factor, but I never really cared for White Zombie that much. Now, if it were Rob Zombie's "Dragula".......
Downloads for the week of Feb. 22: JIMMY EAT WORLD PACK Jimmy Eat World -- Futures Jimmy Eat World -- Lucky Denver Mint Jimmy Eat World -- Sweetness ALT-COUNTRY PACK Drive By Truckers -- 3 Dimes Down Lucinda Williams -- Can't Let Go Neko Case -- People Got a Lot of Nerve Old 97s -- Time Bomb (LIVE) Steve Earle -- Satellite Radio
I'll pick up the Jimmy Eat World back, I only like Sweetness off that list, but it'll be good for parties.
I liked all of them well enough upon listening to pick 'em all up next week. I love having so much variety in my library, but it's a bitch to perfect very many songs when there are so many. It is kind of funny watching the gf play through the tour when the mystery setlists pop up though (Hmmm...don't know this one. Hmmm...don't know this one. Hmmm...don't know this one...).
When it comes to RB, the biggest surprise song for me was getting whacked with Visions out of the blue.
They really need a way to tag songs to remove from mystery setlist. I like to play on expert guitar but the final tier songs are pretty much impossible for me. I really don't want to play GGAHT either.
A lot of people would like that. The counter argument is usually that people shouldn't be able to disable all the hard songs to get around some of the difficulty. I don't see the harm in having a limited ability to block songs from being used in mystery or random setlists. Say 5 songs or so. Yeah, the final tier of RB2 is pretty much a massive bitch to me on anything besides vocals. Even on Hard. I could at least muddle through the final tier of RB1 most of the time well enough.
Tried the new no doubt dlc at someones house and I found them surprisingly fun to play. On expert it really felt like every note was accounted for on the chart.
You know what I could go for, but will probably never happen? Pink Floyd's The Wall on Rock Band... I can dream.
I wouldn't care, except that they removed the option to grind through songs as in the first game. So if they really want this to be a "casual" experience then why not go all the way? It's just a pain that the only way to make money in the game is also not fun for me to play.
Here's the part where people throw stones at me and call me a heretic, but I'd rather have A Momentary Lapse of Reason or Delicate Sound of Thunder
There's supposedly big hype around next week's DLC. Harmonix will be annoucing in their newsletter tonight and those who don't subscribe to it will find out about it Friday morning. Rumors are going around that it's Texas Flood, but that's yet to be seen. I hope it's something good.
