What happened to all the tribbles?

After 17.8 years of cleaning them up, what did that merchant guy do with them?!

Do you really think that little guy ate that many tribbles? He'd be bigger than Fat Albert by then.

Imagine all the tribble crap all over the station.

 

The Klingon likely kill all the ones beamed aboard their ship.

And how was Scotty even able to beam that many of anything aboard the klingon ship?

 

Site to site transport was used in TOS- all Scotty had to do is set the controls for "small fuzzy things".
Of course a few pet cats some toupees might have inadvertently gone over also...

By that token, why wouldn't the station and Jones use the same method?

This is from Deep Space Nine but Worf said(IIRC) the Klingons wiped them out due to how they wreck havoc on ecosystems but Quark had a few at the end of that episode so they may exist again.

 

Odo brought some home from the past. One assumes it has only been a day or two, since they haven't completely overrun the station yet, nor did the temporal investigations guys encounter one. Or Odo an the others didn't feed them quite as well as the Enterprise and Deep Space K7 did.
