So, I see the kids over on FB are having an Eleventh Doctor Day (11/11/11 of course). Do a search, knock yourself out, have fun.
You know I love Doctor Who and all, but I'll be thinking about other things on the 11th, particularly at 11am!
ha ha, no that's not the case (and to be honest I'd have to turn him down cos really Karen G should get first dibs...)
To be fair, I think most folks have already observed the solemnity of Remembrance/Veterans Day, giving the occasion and its heroes their due. In the mean time, it is good to keep up good spirits as well:
Nobody in my group of friends who are fans (roughly a dozen) has much love for Eleven. He started out great, but we're seeing the same thing over and over again. Kind of like the Johnny Depp of Doctor Who.
Well that's understandable, as we all tend to hang with folks who have similar views to our own. I kinda have an eclectic mix of Whovian viewers. They range from thoroughly disliking 11 all the way through thoroughly loving him. Some are "old school" fans and some (like my self) came in with the regenerated show. Everyone's learned to accept the different interpretations, storytelling techniques, etc while maintaining their personal preferences.
I understand that, Neroon, and I agree with you. But I tend to actually have a different POV than all of my friends, yet none of them like the new Doctor anymore either.
