I guess that depends on how much is rewritten and how much of the original story remains? Remember, there's only 5 days until the end of this particular Challenge (closes midnight GMT July 31st), so, if you have something in mind, would that be enough time, or would it be better to wait for the next Challenge, and thus, have a bit more time to relax with it?
If you're still wanting to do this, make sure that you provide not only the rewritten one, but also the original one, so that the differences can be judged properly :-)
Yes, I am working frantically on a story that is making itself longer than expected (but within the limit..)
I'd prefer Prose if possible, but, as long as it's Complete, and Original in that it's your work and hasn't been published here before (or if it's a re-write, provide both that and the original so that the differences can be judged), then yes, I'll accept it Voting, by the way, will be done largely by the Members.... We already have a complete story submitted by jespah, which I'm voting for, but, I'll still keep the competition open until the deadline in a little over two days, and any other submissions can thus be judged on their merit as well :-)
Thanks for that. If I complete my story in time, I'll do it in prose so as to avoid being a pain - plus it'll be a good flexing of the muscles.
Well....The Time has come (the Walrus said), to talk of many things.... One of those being that this Competition has now closed, so, as there haven't been any other entries, I now declare jespah the winner of this Writing Challenge :-)
Thanks, but I think midnight July 31 doesn't come for another, what, 11 hours? Don't wanna jump the gun.
Ooops Yeah....sorry about that....I didn't click about that one until I got up this morning :-/ In fact, I was hoping nobody had noticed as I was planning to delete that comment this morning :-/
And so, without further ado, I again declare jespah as the winner of this Writing Challenge Apologies again for the error earlier :-)
New challenge is up! http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=250924 It's all about desperation. Runs through the last few days of October.
