Looks like more than a few... and some names will need to be taken off of that list.

If I get some time IRL (of which I had quite a bit of recently because of the Thanksgiving holiday), I think I will try to do some updating work on that list myself. Unless, of course, someone else would rather do it themselves.

Treklit seems to be going head to head with Marvel comics in the resurrection stakes.

^Not sure Soong counts, because he was already presumed dead in canon anyway. So he was both un-killed and then killed later in the same book, which more or less cancels out.

I'll take the rap for killing Isis . . . although it was John Ordover's idea!

Scotty's more of a cliffhanger- we don't actually know for sure, all we know is that the other characters were convinced he's dead

Do Mirror Universe counterparts of canon counterparts count? Because Mirror Kira*, Worf*, Kassidy Yates, Cal Hudson, Zek, Riker, Tasha Yar, Elizabeth Shelby, Klag, Martok, Kes, Janeway, Seven of Nine, Chakotay, and Leeta* are dead (at the very least).

*These people showed up in actual episodes, so they are canon either way.

You can add Mirror Soong and Mirror Vash to the hit list. (I took out those two.)

How do we define canon characters? Extras who barely showed up and had names only in the script count?

I'm pretty sure the Federation President from Homefront/Paradise Lost was killed.

Any character who originated in TV/film Trek.

Although, when I think of Selar or a few others, it's their role in the novels that comes to mind, not the TV episodes.

He died of old age in Articles of the Federation, actually.

In a book written by Krad - now in exile from writing star trek lit.

If bringing the character back is in the least advantageous for some future plot, he will be brought back - and 'Articles of the federation' will go the 'didn't happen in universe' route of 'Indistinguishable from magic'.
