It looks like Skyfall if Michael Bay had directed it.

 

Or like the bastard love-child of George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry, with J.J. acting as mid-wife.

I can't speak for him, but you must not have been here back when there were trolls watching every single episode of Enterprise and Battlestar Galactica for their entire durations to proclaim how bad the show was and how right they were to hate it.

Don't let the low rank fool you, I have been here since 2004 and very vividly remember all the flak that Enterprise received.

It's just pathetic to me.

 

This is one of my favorite trailers so far!

 

I get some satisfaction out of.knowing that the haters will have to stand by and watch this succeed far beyond any of.the things they prefer.

 

That looks great, I can't remember the last time I was as interested in a Trek film (well since the last one...).

 

It looks and feels like TOS writ large: action-adventure on the largest canvas that Trek has ever had. Goosebumps. It gave me goosebumps.

 

If I were a fangirl, I would have squeed.

 

Oh, I did.

 

I noticed they've changed the city around Spock, when he jumps off the floating platform thing.

The next shot of him falling remains the same, so the buildings suddenly change. Work in progress!
Maybe that means all the current-day looking cars, lorries and busses on the streets are gonna change, too.

 

I, personally, like the first image better.

 

I'm not sure there has been a change. I think i read they jump from platform to platform during that chase scene, so maybe they are different platforms in different areas.
