Nightwish - Song Of Myself. Been listening to this one a lot lately. This is what symphonic metal is all about. [YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYT9F8yV3-E[/YT]
I commend your taste, sir! I know a lot of folks don't like new Nightwish, but speaking from my own listening, 'The Poet and the Pendulum' is the single finest piece of music that Nightwish has ever done. Right now, though, I'm digging into Savatage's Dead Winter Dead.
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufbexgPyeJQ&feature=related[/yt] I mean...come on. It's Iron Man singing an Elton John song. If you can't like that then the terrorists have won.
All symph. metal is great, greater & greatest. I'm not gonna say I wouldn't want Tarja back in Nightwish. Her voice is definitive of the genre. The new girl in Xandria is nearly as good as Tarja. Savatage, maybe the first symphonic metal group??? Some people think so.
I'm in love with this song! [yt]www.youtube.com/watch?v=om9p0NUNlSk[/yt] Imelda May - Johnny Got a Boom Boom
